The following is a list of the current Board Members and Committee Members who serve the CIA.
Amy Wendt - I am a Radiology professional with 22 years of experience in the industry and 18 years in healthcare leadership roles. I began my career as a technologist with certifications in X-ray as well as MRI. I have experience working in multiple modalities as well as PACS administration. I received my B.A. in Business Management from Benedictine University. I have worked in hospital, outpatient and medical practice organizations. My current role is serving as Director of Radiology and Radiation Oncology for DuPage Medical Group where I have worked since 2012. My responsibilities include strategic planning, oversight of departmental finances and budget, patient experience initiatives, staff development and process improvement activities. I enjoy the dynamic of an ever changing healthcare environment and thinking creatively, along with our amazing leadership team, to navigate these challenges. I am passionate about staff development and supporting our team members in fulfilling their professional goals.

Michael DiVarco - Bachelors prepared health care leader with over 15 years in leadership and 25 years in medical imaging, both in hospital and outpatient environments. I have served as Lead Technologist to Director of Operations. I have facilitated the opening of new imaging services, as well as supported Oncology and Radiation Therapy. I also own a mobile disc jockey company servicing the Chicagoland area for 20+ years. I am a Blues Harmonica player, and am the organizer of the Chicago Harmonica Meetup with 250+ members.

Debra Caruso - I have been a Radiology Professional for over 30 years, all of which have been at Westlake Hospital located in Melrose Park.Over the years I have been very fortunate to have received the opportunity of career advancement in an institution that valued and mentored staff from within. I began my career as a staff technologist and soon after became interested in the field of CT, a newer technology at the time.I completed several evening educational courses at Loyola University on this modality and was soon active in the planning and installation of the first CT unit at Westlake Hospital.I have always had a strong work ethic and believed that loving the work you do will result in positive outcomes.I most currently hold the position of Medical Imaging Director for the last 12 years.My responsibilities include the oversight of day to day operations, budgeting process, revenue capture, performance improvement initiatives as well as customer focused services.I value a team environment and networking opportunities to gain insight on the emerging challenges affecting healthcare today.The time I have spent over the last few years with the College of Imaging Administrators as a committee member and as a board member have been valuable and enlightening.It is so rewarding to find so many passionate professionals in one room with the focus of promoting professional and career growth.
Vidal McNeal - Vidal is aRadiology professional with 16 years of experience in the industry. Vidal has been a Radiologic Technologist since 1996.
He has worked in worked leadership capacities
since 2001. Vidal
received both an MSM degree and a MBA degree from the University of St. Francis
in Joliet, Illinois.He has comprehensive experience in both hospital based radiology and
outpatient radiology environments.

Ray Trzeciak has been an administrative director for 20 years and has over 35 years combined experience in Radiology. Currently, Ray is serving as the Imaging Director of High Tech Medical Park located in Palos Heights. Prior to his current position he worked as the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging at Glenn Ellen clinic. Prior to that position he worked as a Technical Supervisor at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn and was responsible for Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. Ray has worked in many areas of health care administration and specializes in the implementation of new imaging technologies.
Greg Pilot - 35+ years medical imaging experience, including radiolology, interventional radiology, CT, MR, mammography, nuclear medicine, PET, ultrasound. 10+ years experience managing cardiology, cardiodiagnostics, physicial medicine, G.I. Lab. Strong background in imaging informatics including radiology and mammography information systems (RIS/MIS), PACS, and speech recognition.Significant expeience in revenue and expense management, forecasting performance monitoring and standardization of management reporting systems.Significant experience in patient safety and risk reduction strategies.SpecialtiesSupply chain management, IT workflow improvement, medical informatics, revenue enhancement, team-building, performance monitoring.
Sherry Hacker - Masters prepared healthcare leader with over 30 years in
medical imaging and more than 15 years in leadership roles.Currently employed as the Director of
Operations for Meridian Medical Associates which is a multi-specialty medical
group practice located in Joliet Illinois and serving many communities
throughout Will and Grundy Counties.I
hold advanced certifications in CT and Mammography as well as Master’s Degree
in Health Services Administration.I am
currently an adjunct professor at Moraine Valley Community College.I also currently work as a Mammographer for
Advocate High Tech Medical Park.

Jeff Lynch - Masters prepared healthcare professional with over twenty years of experience in all areas of diagnostic imaging leadership. Areas of strength are: budget preparation, capital equipment justification, new product line development and human resource management. Skilled in interdepartmental collaboration to enhance patient care and improving operational efficiencies. Experienced and successful in healthcare IT project management from kick off to completion.
Gayle Kleck - One of the founders of the CIA. I have been in the radiology field for fifty-five years. Administrative Director for thirty years in free standing centers and hospitals. I have opened several free standing CT/MRI Centers.
Julie Zierer - Julie Zierer has 28+ years of experience in Radiology and worked as
a CT and MRI Technologist for 20 years with the Marshfield Clinic system.
She then became involved in Radiology management in 2005 and was involved in
the start-up of a new hospital and the Radiology department within the new
facility. In her current management role at The Diagnostic &
Treatment Center in Weston,
WI, she is responsible for CT,
MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and General Radiology. Julie enjoys
managing day-to-day operations with a focus on increasing patient and staff

Gene Santilli - 35 years of medical imaging experience in all aspects of radiology. 26 years of combat medicine experience with the United States Navy and Marine Corps. United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Graduate. Director of System Radiology at Marshfield Clinic, a 700 physician, 6000 employee, multi-specialty clinic in Central, North, West, and Northwest Wisconsin.
Kindy Vaughn - Kindy has 20 years of medical imaging
experience and over 10 years in leadership positions.She has facilitated the first 3T MRI in a
Joliet hospital setting and the first 3D mammography unit within the Presence
Health system.Some of her projects
include implementing fMRI for pre-operative planning and MRI perfusion for
stroke intervention.She holds an active
license with the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety and is ARRT registered
in Radiography and MRI.She has a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Care Leadership and a Master’s of Science
degree in Health Administration. Currently,
Kindy is serving as the Director, Imaging Services at Presence St Mary’s Hospital
in Kankakee, Illinois and is excited to be part of the CIA Board.
Linda Castello - Masters prepared leader with 40 years of healthcare experience, 24 years specific to medical imaging and 14 years in imaging leadership positions. I hold the ARDMS registry as an Ultrasonographer working in both the Radiology and Cardiology departments. Currently employed as the Director of Imaging & Cardiac Services with oversight of CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Radiology, Radiology Support, Interventional Radiology, MRI, 3 Off-site Imaging sites, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiopulmonary Rehab, the Women’s Center and Medspa at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Leadership and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University and obtained the CRA certification in 2012. Serving others in our continuously changing environment of Healthcare is both exciting and challenging making each day a new adventure!
Timothy Musacchio – 17 years of healthcare experience, with 10 years of management experience. I start my career in radiography and then advanced to multiple positions supporting PACS, including the implementation of PACS at two different institutions. I am presently the manager of CT, Ultrasound, and Imaging Support & Informatics at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL, and I am also a registry radiographer at Elmhurst Hospital. I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, IL.
